The Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) sets the industry standard for coin grading and certification. For more than 30 years, the organization has served coin collectors and numismatists by establishing universal, uniform standards for coins while independently grading more than 34.7 million coins.

In addition to simple grading, the PCGS offers an array of regrading services to members:

Regrading: Regrading allows coin collectors to submit PCGS-graded or encapsulated coins for a higher rating, when appropriate.

Crossover Grading: This option is for re-evaluating coins that have been graded by another independent party.

Guarantee Resubmission: An option offered to confirm previous PCGS findings, usually when a coin is suspected to be counterfeit or misattributed.

Reconsideration: Members can choose this service if they’d like a coin to be reevaluated without removing it from its holder unless it receives a desired higher grade.
