Adrian Gonzalez’s Career and the Trade to Los Angeles

Saint Jovite “Kota” Youngblood is a former general manager for Miracle Mile Coin who, since 2010, has presided over Youngblood Metals Mining. A professional numismatist, in his free time Saint Jovite Youngblood enjoys watching Los Angeles Dodgers games with his sons.

A 14-year veteran, Adrian Gonzalez has been a big part of the Dodgers lineup since the team acquired him along with Josh Beckett and Carl Crawford in a 2012 blockbuster trade with the Boston Red Sox. Beckett retired in 2014 and Crawford was released by the Dodgers last season, but Gonzalez remains the team’s starting first baseman, and for good reason; the 34 year old has missed only 20 games in the past four seasons and had a .275 or better batting average during this time.

Gonzalez’s best season with the Dodgers came in 2014 when he hit 27 home runs and drove in a National League-best 116 runs. He finished seventh in MVP voting that season and won a Gold Glove and a Silver Slugger for being the best fielder and batter at his position. The five-time All-Star has a .290 career batting average to go along with 308 home runs and 1,146 runs batted in.
